Everything Is, As It Should Be
Things work out the way they’re supposed to, whether we agree or not.
There is also no such thing as coincidence, in my opinion. We don’t have control over what happens outside of us. We like to think we do……but we don’t.
I established a single-room practice that I rented within an already established business for 5 years. About 3 years into practicing at that location, I felt that I needed a larger space that would give me the flexibility to offer more as I felt my practice expanding in other directions. The business owner gave me opportunities to utilize space outside of my single-room practice offering events, workshops, and classes but there were challenges with scheduling and space availability as there were other practitioners that were renting space as well.
As far as moving to another location, there were a few options that presented themselves to me and I took it upon myself to go check them out. Nothing really came of those options. I knew I just had to be patient and the right opportunity would present itself.
In August of this year, a friend told me about a space that was available. She had gone to an appointment in the complex and just happened to see this space. She sent me pictures, gave me the address, and suggested I check it out. So, on my way home from work, I did.
I got the number for the Property Management office, called, and set up an appointment for a tour. Two days later I met with the realtor, asked questions, and told her that I was very interested. It felt right.
I’d like to briefly mention that I have this thing about numbers. My son passed away on the 6th of July so I have this thing about seeing the number 6, everywhere. The address of this space is 1131(6) S. La Canada Drive, Suite 204(6). Was this a sign?
Three weeks later I had negotiated a ‘move-in special’ with the owners for occupying the space, submitted insurance documents and licenses for practice and business purposes, and signed the lease.
I have been occupying my new location now since September. My practice is growing. I now practice Mindful Living Facilitating (Talk Therapy), Cranio~Sacral~SELF~Waves Therapy, classes in Yin Yoga, and will be offering additional classes, both private and group, in January. I, along with two other gifted individuals, held our first retreat for My Whole Be-ing: An Exploration of SELF in October and are looking forward to more to come.
I also have another practitioner joining me in January who is a VAT (Vibroacoustic) Therapist.
